Fornax (Goddess of Divination)

Fornax is the goddess of the furnace and divination. Her greed and lust for power began the elemental wars. Lavois, the father of her constellation, desired peace between all the elemental tribal lords. During the festival of Fornacalia, she sent her commander Vulcan to murder Lavois before he addressed the fire tribe of his plans to maintain the order of the realms. In his stead, she marked the occasion with news of war, and the sacrifice of all followers loyal to Lavois. Using Moloch, the lord of sacrifice, she forged weapons of divine fire to bring about the end of all the elemental tribes.

Moloch ( Lord of Sacrifice)

Moloch is the weapon that fueled the wars created by Fornax. The children of all those that the fire tribe conquered were thrown into his flames, giving him his title of the lord of sacrifice. These deaths gave him the power to forge new weapons, making the fire tribe seem almost unstoppable. It was this power that would eventually lead him to believe that he was superior to Fornax. His ego would begin the formation of a new age of metal, and a new tribe.

Nox ( The Primordial Night)

Nox is the first of the Lords of the Nine and the most powerful. She is the power of chaos and creation, making her able to build armies at will with those she lays to waste. Nox destroyed the light god Dazbog in an attempt to darken the world forever. Once the light realm fell, she harnessed the power of the morning star and the evening star. This gave birth to Zorya, and with it, control over their doomsday beast Simargl. Forever chained to the abyss between heaven and hell, this union would begin the slaughter throughout the elemental realms.

Zorya ( Doomsday Guardians)

Zorya is the keeper of the doomsday beast Simargl. She controls both the morning star and the evening star, making her the keeper of both the light and darkness. It has been told that if the beast Simargl was to ever be released from its chains, it would bring about the end of the world. Nox saw this as an opportunity to gain control over the light realm, and a way to gather souls for her army. Once Zorya began to reign as the second leader of the lords of the nine, she recruited Karmanor from the earth realm to head her army. On the battlefield with Zorya and Karmanor, no living being stood a chance.

Karmanor ( God of Reaping)

Karmanor was a god of the earth realm. He spent his time in the fields of nature, creating bountiful harvests for the people that worshipped him. But the years took a toll on his mental state. Angry and alone, he began slaughtering herds of livestock. He murdered his worshippers and stained their temples in blood. His body blackened with hatred and his eyes were devoured by darkness. Zorya saw this and made Karmanor an offer he could not willingly refuse. Instead of harvesting the fields, he now turned his scythe to harvesting souls for Nox and her army.

THE VASUS

Dyous Pita (The Vast One)

Dyous Pita Is the leader of the earth tribe and an all knowing being. He brought prosperity to his realm for many generations. Creating rain and growth throughout nature, his loyal subjects would bask in his greatness. His kind demeanor was often mistaken for weakness, and at a great cost to the accuser. The swords he wields, Tius and Zeo, are legendary in their power. Tius, also known as the mother, could remove all thought and put the victim into a catatonic state. Zeo, or the father, sucked the life out of anyone who touched it other than Dyous. The earth realm would need this power to defend against the inevitable onslaught to come.

Ash ( Lord of Oasis)

Ash is the second lord of the earth tribe. He controls the lifeforce of nature, which allows him to create life in desolate areas. Dyous Pita contracted Ash to help create a new world for the earth realm. The first action taken was to create a guardian to protect all they had built. Ash created Porewit from the vines and foliage of the surrounding forests. As the fire and night tribes descended upon them, Ash showed his true power by removing life from their minions.

Porewit ( God of the Protected Woods)

Porewit was created by Ash to protect the earth tribe. His body was solid and impenetrable. The core in the center of his body was created from part of the sun, and gave him immense power. Also known as the silent destroyer, Porewit never spoke, but would destroy armies simply by being unable to be weakened or harmed. He can grow to an ungodly size and smash all that opposed him. Ash was know to slither beneath the vines on the back of Porewit, creating an unpleasant surprise to enemy attackers.

THE ARCHAIC TRIADS

Volturnus ( Lord of Rivers )

Volturnus is the first lord of the water and wind tribe. He created an army of priests, called flamen, and they protected his temples from the plague of attacks from the other tribes. He despised the fire tribe, and went to war against them at any opportune moment. Controlling the rivers and seas, Volturnus ruled with a chaotic balance. With Astraes at his side, they would cause storms and massive tidal waves to protect his lands from intruders. During one such battle, Volturnus created a storm so large, that a new god named Zephyrus formed from the destruction.

Astraes ( Titan God of Dusk)

Astraes is the right hand of the lord Volturnus. They shared the love of war, and Astraes took this love to a new level. He tore the ends of his tentacles off and adorned them with the horns of the demons he killed. His mask was taken from Gibil, the old weapon god of the fire tribe. He wore it into battle as a reminder to his enemies of what would happen if they brought war to the shores of the water realm. After Zephyrus was created, they would rule both the air and sea.

Zephyrus ( The Lark Spur)

Zephyrus is the creation of Volturnus, and his third commander. Zephyrus was jealous of the power given to Astraes by his lord. They fought over command at every turn, and would try to gain favor by killing more enemies in battle. Eventually, Zephyrus would create the electrical blade he used in battle, called the lark spur, to finally overshadow his commander. Unfortunately, it was not enough to stop the murder of his beloved, Hyakinthos. She died at the hands of the fire tribe while Zephyrus was busy in his civil war with Astraes. The anger and sorrow left in his heart would lead to the creation of a new tribe.
